Translucid

A Collective of Improvising Musicians

About

TRANSLUCID is a collective of improvising musicians and composers. Formed in eastern Narrm (Melbourne) in 2019, their poly-stylistic approach to "spontaneous composition" gives rise to adventurous music that explores improvised melody, harmony, rhythm and texture. The cross-pollination between many different musical voices within the collective gives TRANSLUCID's music a distinctly human quality, which resonates strongly with their audiences.Translucid's members are all composer-performers, and use their skills in multi-instrumentalism and live electronic processing to shape their unique sound.
